EXCLUSIVE

An eminent figure of Austrian origin, Luigi Wimmer, decided to build the first hotel in Gardone Riviera after greatly benefiting from his stay in this destination of poetic charm.

In a short time, Gardone became an exclusive destination for travellers from all over Europe, attracted by the beauty of its landscape and the refined atmosphere of the area.

Among its most illustrious residents was the great poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, who chose to settle in this area and created, on the hills overlooking the town, the Vittoriale degli Italiani, an eclectic complex of buildings and architectural styles suspended in the atmosphere of a bygone era.

Between 1943 and 1945, Gardone also became a seat of the Italian Social Republic, which established several ministries within its historic buildings.

Over the years, time has further enhanced the charm of this timeless destination, where narrow streets wind between elegant villas and splendid gardens.

Nature and art blend into remarkably evocative landscapes, such as the beautiful Villa Alba and the distinctive Heller Botanical Garden.

Its particularly mild climate makes a stay in Gardone Riviera pleasant and comfortable throughout the entire year.
